The New Universes Project or TNU Project started as a series of role plays and supporting stories/fanfics loosely based upon Star Trek and eventually became its own canon. It occurs primarily over two thousand years after the events of all of the Trek series. it maintains its own wiki which is sparsely updated. Currently only one game remains following its story line; the DFS Lavie in Ascension Sims. In addition to its role playing games the project with interest in involving itself in larger community goals applied for 501(c)3 charitable status and was accepted in the United States. It now operates as a public charity offering more than just its individual sims. It currently operates SimmingHub which is a simming/role playing resource center and has begun taking over host selection and general management of the SciWorld, the Simming Fall Festival and is working to provide free hosting and technology support to sim groups, games and individuals helping them to cut away the burden of hosting costs and to archive their writing and work for future generations of the role playing community.
