Romana, (short for Romanadvoratrelundar) is a character in The Triple First, a time traveller who fights monsters, saves planets and goes clothes shopping.

Background
A bright but somewhat naive Time Lady in her youth, Romana graduated from the Academy with a Triple First, unlike a certain other Time Lord who only got 51% on the second attempt.
Sent to help the Doctor recover the Key to Time and staying on quite a bit afterwards, Romana discovered that you should always wear sensible shoes near cliffs, that not all paintings are done by computers and she could build a sonic screwdriver better than the Doctor.
She eventually decided to stay in E-Space to help liberate the Tharil race. After that, she spent two decades running around seeing the sights.
During the seventh Doctor's life, she returned to Gallifrey and ended becoming Lady President, dealing with a large number of threats to Gallifrey.
Now in her sixth incarnation, Romana has just escaped from E-Space again, where she was exiled after a massive falling-out with Rassilon during the Time War. He gave her a half-functioning TARDIS that she's managed to make three-quarters functioning.
She doesn't like to talk about that War; although she will admit that the Act of Master Restitution was a bit of a mistake, especially as it actually led to that particular Time Lord continuing to be very much in play.
Having just regenerated, Romana's still a bit funny in the head. This is actually her first "forced" regeneration; the others were voluntary.
Personality
All Time Lords have a bit of a mid-life crisis around incarnation seven. The Doctor, for example, wore that coat and yelled at people.
Romana's mid-life crisis has resulted in her becoming a bit of a Valley Girl. She's even more obsessed with clothes than she used to be and wants to party on down. She's about to start a quest to find the ultimate nightspot in N-Space.
However, she still retains the same Time Lady intelligence and can get a bit bossy if she doesn't get what she wants.
